forget the ten commandments. watching easter parade was an annual event in my household. judy garland, fred astaire, and that fantastic scene at the end when they promenade down "the avenue...fifth avenue" with all the other blue bloods and those amazing hats.
i didn't believe my aunt last weekend when she said they still do the easter parade today in manhattan, but the sartorialist says i was wrong.
